A Tollbooth for your Content

Tollbit allows you to quickly set up a paid API in front of your website in as little as 15 minutes with no coding. This effectively puts your data behind a paywall, and allows you to immediately start charging bots for on demand access.

Getting started

To get started, go our dashboard to set up an account. Once you log in, you will immediately be able to start adding individual properties you own and start settings rates on your content. For more information on how to do this, read on to our Dashboard Overview section.

Setting up your Account

When first create an account on the platform, you will be prompted to create your organization. This should represent your top level company. If you were a publisher ACME Inc., and you had websites example1.com, example2.com, and so on under ACME, your organization should be called "ACME", and you will have the opportunity to add each individual property under your organization afterwards.

Note that each org can only have one payout method linked. This is fine for most orgs, but if your company prefer to keep accounting separate for a subset of your properties, you can create additional orgs after your first org and add properties to those, and then add payment separately for each org.
